Alpine Research is a company based out of Little Deer Isle, Maine that was formed by two brothers; one a successful software engineer living in Maine, the other a retail fireplace shop owner in Colorado with over 20 years of experience in the fireplace industry. Given the increasing popularity of "smart-home automation" systems and the repeated requests for gas fireplace controls to be added to the long list of home amenities being controlled from a distance, the partners decided to see what it would take to provide a solution for this growing demand.
Working together with a talented team of hearth professionals, electronic design engineers and computer software engineers, Alpine Research has successfully developed the newest innovation in the hearth product controls market, the WiFire Remote. The WiFire Remote is a "Web Based Universal Dry Contact Millivolt/Low Volt Remote Control." The WiFire Remote will allow millivolt-controlled appliances, such as gas fireplaces, gas stoves and pellet stoves, to be operated with a computer or smart device utilizing an internet connection.
